Custom Furniture & Upholstery Refund Policy

1. Custom & Personalized Items (Chairs, Ottomans, etc.)

Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind, and personalized nature of our custom furniture pieces, which are tailored to your specific design preferences (materials, colors, finishes, etc.), all sales of custom or personalized items are final.

  • Non-Refundable Deposit: A deposit of 50% is required to secure the piece and initiate the design process. This deposit is strictly non-refundable. In addition, we often invest many hours in detailed consultation, sourcing specialized designer materials, and creating conceptual designs for your unique piece even before physical restoration and production begins, making the initial deposit essential to reserve your chair frame and to cover this dedicated labor and expertise.

  • Design Approval: Production begins only after the client has formally approved the design, materials, and final cost. Once approval is given, the order cannot be canceled, and the final payment is due upon completion and prior to shipping.

2. Ready-to-Ship Items (Non-Custom)

For non-custom and ready to ship chairs, all sales are final due to the size of these items and the high cost of shipping.

For ready-to-ship items other than ready-made furniture (e.g., small accessories or pillows, not requiring client design input), we accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the item meets the following conditions:

  • The item must be in the exact condition it was received: unused, undamaged, and complete with all original packaging and tags.

  • The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs, which must include tracking and adequate insurance, as we cannot issue a refund for items damaged or lost in return transit.

  • Once the item is received and inspected, we will issue a full refund minus the original shipping cost.

3. Damage in Transit

We take the utmost care in packaging and only use professional freight carriers for our custom furniture.

  • Inspection Required: You are required to inspect the shipment upon delivery. If your furniture piece arrives with damage, do not accept delivery of the item, and contact us immediately. You must also provide us with clear photographs of the package, the shipping label, and the damage to the item itself.

  • Resolution: We will work diligently with the shipping company to offer you a suitable solution.  Failure to follow these steps may prevent a refund or repair.

4. Important Notes

  • Vintage Condition: Please note that all our furniture pieces are vintage or pre-loved items that have been lovingly upcycled and restored. While we bring them to a stunning, functional state, minor imperfections reflecting their age and history may be present. These are part of the charm and are not considered defects.

  • Policy Acceptance: By purchasing from VintageOneVibe, you acknowledge and agree to this refund and cancellation policy. We appreciate your understanding that our pieces are the result of many hours of specialized labor and passion.
